International Standards

ISO 9000 is rapidly becoming the most important quality standard in the world. ISO is the International Organization for Standardization. Thousands of companies in over 100 countries have already adopted it. It saves money. Customers expect it. ISO 9000 can help both product and service oriented organizations achieve standards of quality that are recognized and respected throughout the world. The ISO 9000 standards apply to all kinds of organizations in all kinds of areas. Some of these areas include manufacturing, processing, servicing, computing, financial services, accounting, banking, retailing, construction, telecommunications, government, education, recreation, software development, consumer products, and transportation and so on.

While the content of ISO 9000 itself is useful and important, this alone does not account for its widespread appeal. ISO 9000 is important because of its international orientation. Currently, ISO 9000 is supported by national standards bodies from more than 120 countries. This makes it a logical choice for any organization that does business internationally or that serves customers who demand an international standard of quality.

STRATEGIQA conducts a comprehensive implementation workshop for two days, providing excellent understanding and enabling implementation of the QMS in line with ISO 9000.

ISO 27000 series of standards have been specifically reserved by ISO for information security matters. ISO 27000 will provide an overview of standards related to the ISO/IEC 27000 Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) family of standards and provide uniformity and consistency of fundamental terms and definitions used throughout the ISMS family. ISO 27000 series will be populated with a range of individual standards and documents.

STRATEGIQA conducts implementation workshops for ISO27000 standards showing how they are used collectively to plan, implement, certify and operate ISMS. This also covers a basic introduction to information security, risk management and management systems. It is intended to "provide a model for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving an information security management system.

ISO/IEC 20000 is the first worldwide standard specifically aimed at IT Service Management. It describes an integrated set of management processes for the effective delivery of services to the business and its customers. ISO 20000 comprises two distinct documents: a specification for a service management system, and a code of practice. Together, these form a top-down framework to define the features of service management processes that are essential for the delivery of high quality services.
